The flat tires I witnessed going flat was really freaky, first the right front went down, then the left front, then the left back and finally the right back. Like some kind of poaching curse or something. The best part was it was on a Sunday night at 10 PM on a holiday weekend in the middle of no place, really weird. Maybe the guy ate the fish for breakfast.
I bail on this one and like any forum a good train wreck always has to be looked at.
Best of luck fellas.
Marky, I am embarassed to admit that I did not understand your posts at all.
Golden Bonana....
I don't think too many people on here now fall for your game.

Marky, why live in fear when you own a 12 guage and aren't afraid to use it if you need to? A stranger trespasses without permission on my property and threatens me won't likely have a chance to put a gun to my head with a 2 foot hole in their chest!
Kind of a funny story I remember like it was yesterday (also strongly highlights knowing your target before pulling the trigger in any situation): My parents divorced long ago and when I was a teen my old man would work nights occasionally and it would be me and my kid brother alone. He'd tell me when he was coming home in the morning, etc. He never came home early, until one particular night. I don't know how I heard it, but some time in the middle of the night I heard someone trying to get in our door downstairs. I took my shotgun from the case, got the shells out from another location and loaded that Mossberg up with 00. I grabbed the phone and positioned myself at the top of the stairs for a clear shot to the doorway, less than 10 yards. I announced loudly "Who are you? I have a loaded shotgun. Do not come thru that door unnanounced." A voice says just as loudly "Ryan, it's your Dad I'm home early. It's your DAD!" I walked down and let him in, he couldn't believe I was prepared to defend the home and my brother like that. He was having trouble finding the right key and seeing the lock because I had not left the porch light on since he said he wouldn't be home until after 7AM. I said "don't worry I know better, I wouldn't have shot until I confirmed you were a stranger in the house."
As always, clinging to our guns and religion out here in Pennsyltucky!
ignore and live to tell about it. no trout is worth a punch in the nose or worst a kick in the groin:beingsick:
claude dallas: since when is it self defense to shoot both CO's in the head after they are already down? sic mf should be serving life or worst.
The last guy who tried that on me is still eating cream of wheat thru a straw :boxing: Bring them poachers on baby!!Hollywood said.
I would love it if someone who was poaching were to punch or kick me.
It's nice having a friend that was an olympic judo medalist
He trained me well
I will never fish where in not supposed to be and will never go where im not wanted just the way i was brought up.Justice by Salt Peter.
I can tell you a story of a certain 11 year old way back in the 70s that got shot at for trespassing on private property on his bike...:guns:
Let's just say I think twice before going on another's land ever since!
any encounter can escalate quickly. ask any patrolman pulling over a speeder. no such thing as a "routine" stop. they walk up hands on holster ready to draw. I'd be careful. you threaten calling cops and they may have reason to get angry - like having outstanding warrants or drugs in the vehicle - and then you've just put yourself in harms way for what, some damn fish? please. there are things were standing up for and getting involved in, poaching fish ain't one of them. Why is it not prpoer to explain to the person what the law is. Maybe they just don't know. You see it starts out with the picture then the talk. If they react like aholes then you walk away and make the call.
if you MUST do something, then discreetly jot their description and license plate # down and pass it on anonymously to the proper authorities. no need to go "john wayne" unless you think your immortal...
I've sent off emails over the years to the NJDFGW - or other proper authorities(incl. township police) - asking for increased patrols in certain areas i know violations are going on. sometimes thats all it takes.
Internet tough guys are so amusing.
I get it and it continues to amuse me. The internet tough guys that is.
And yes I will most likely be at Horton Brook, I know that the personal check I sent to TU for $100.00 donated for the project was cashed, and I like to see my money being put to good use.I am a bit perplexed by the posting of all these phone numbers, all in the name of protecting the KLG from poachers. Why perplexed? There are some out here that are wiling to stand up and say enough, and call the CO's, what bothers me is that you wouldn't.
This isn't Africa - we are not protecting endangered rhinos or elephants. We are talking about stocked trout. So a guy takes as many as he wants, reduces the numbrs in a stream we all fought to protect in a state with limited resources, and you compare it to Africa?
Ok - some are wild. So, we are talking about a few trout. How many taken breaking the law are too many?
In New Jersey, you can buy ground beef for 2 dollars per pound. To capture a pound of fish from the Gorge, you'd have to pay at least 2 dollars for gas alone. Just a stupid remark.
What is my point? THIS WHOLE THREAD IS NONSENSE. We are imagining a problem that DOES NOT EXIST - poaching is not a serious threat anymore to fish populations, at least in the northeastern United States. In fact the problem does exist, Jim Hollanrepeated calls from eye witness, you just seem to be witless.
So, for those of you who seem so passionate about protecting trout, I hope I you are streamside at Horton Brook next month doing restoration work.
