NY of course. Frack Free! LOL. There is a brook trout pond just down the street from my office in East Concord. This is kind of flatlander territory, as this is about 40 miles southeast of Buffalo. I have yet to see an angler there. It gets kind of weedy in the summer, so normally I don't fish it after Memorial Day. It is fun to visit at lunch in the spring. C&R all the way. Might a suggest buying a one man to see if you like floating. There will be times when you might not have another person and to have to row a two man will be a pain. If you are interested. I would start with a inexpensive one man. Not chinese inexpensive but like the bucks bags High Adventure $525. If you really want a fantastic boat that you can fold up and put in a airline carry on. Then the NFO Renegade is the way to go. It is a little smaller than the one in my avatar. It weighs 26 lbs and is really a great boat. I use it even if im not going down the river i can row back and forth across the Delaware to get to the other side where guys cant go.
