I heard 4-6' of snow. When the snow is falling is when you should be on the water.
 
Per usual, Pulaski doesn't really get whacked with what they call for, as you know....It normally Altmar and point north and east...

ANyway, water should be a bit stained and higher hopeuflly Monday with that tug hill run off...Thats when ill be there.

Wish I could be there in the snow though...

GALVAN and NV's are garbage?

When my pops and I are out there on your rig next fall, can you lock down some good ISH? Seems to be working wonder for you there ;););)

Classy mother suckers use pre war reels. If you really want to be a "Spey" guy you better start buying Olson, Saracione, or Bogdan reels.

5 feet of snow for tug hill ans then a warm up beginning Saturday. By Monday, fishing should be fucking epic at 60 degrees out with run off!!!!!

Fishing will suck with that cold water dumping into the river. It always sucks when there is snow melt. If they get 5' of snow and it melts, you will be looking at another flood of 20,000 CFS.

Right now I have 3 in it including myself. Ill push for a bigger room if youre in.

HEading up late Sunday to do some whacking and stacking!

Just got another order of beads in.

I'm really impressed with this new company I found. SteelyRonSteelheadBeads.com These beads are seriously the real deal. I didn't get all of them, I just got the natural ones and ones that looked good to me. You may think others look better/worse. Bead fishing is all about confidence.

And of course, I had to keep up with the new release of GLSHCO beads. :) Got all the new scrambled editions and UV editions.

Chris, make sure you have plenty of 6mm's. That is the size they are chewing on in Sept. I had mostly 8mm and they were too big. Smaller hooks too.

Hey guys,

Sorry for the delay.

Shane and I hit the Salmon river last Monday with minimal success. We stuck 4 chromers early on. River began to rise and created at 1300, rendering it almost unfishable with the amount of mud.

Still a great day on the water though.






 
Went up to 1200 last night...shit should be getting really real now

Im trying to get back up in the next week or so
 
i was up Fri/Sat fished 750cfs in 20F weather both days. managed one fresh fish on the swing in pineville fri night..saturday was cold as fk flossed a bunch of fish in barrel hole then hit the road. i cant remember my feet being that cold in years.
 
If it stays seasonable this 1200 could be awesome. If she gets colders than my gf's heart, well, its type to break out the 20' leaders or fish other impoundments.

Lets be real- fishing has been mediocre at best all season. Bigger than average fish are around, but the bite has been very inconsistent aside from a couple hot weeks in the DSR when some big steel came in during october/early november. Upper river has been a joke with pressure and the fishing shows it. Lower river has been tough with no major runs and fish just trickling in. Crazy air/water temp shifts havent helped either. I've heard it all from the shops including (1) barometric pressure (2) need some clouds (3) need some sun to warm up the water (4) runoff (5) fishing pressure. Very few days have been the day to be there this year
