hey guys sorry im not going to be able to make it up to the River for the steel bash i was really looking forward to meeting a bunch of you guys as of right now i might be able to get up there saturday morning but ill have to leave in the afternoon..... so ill know a little more when its gets closer but its not looking good

So what's the deal y'all? We are one week away from the Bash!!
I think Simms ran out of aderral, so we might have to do some planning ourselves...
I was planning on grabbing a slab of ground beef for burgers one night...do we still have access to a grill?

I'll be rolling out Thurday night with Beeber. We're looking for cheap motel off 81 and get there early Friday AM
We're supposed to stay Fri/Sat in one of the spots Simms reserved, and assuming that is still on, if not we'll have to scramble. We're also planning on adding on Sunday night but haven't figured where to stay yet.
Haven't heard back from Simms yet...since he's a steel junkie and BASH advocate, I would assume he has bigger problems to deal with right now...

Beeber will bringing Oktoberfest homebrew. I'll also have be stocked with beer and scotch that I can use help drinking...

I have a 5 person room at Cannons Saturday and Sunday night. I am not sure how many beds are taken, but I am sure you will be fine just staying there.

Word from Simms: He is out. He has too much going on after the storm.
Unfortunately as I was in a room with him and 3 others (who also cant make it) I must bail as well. Sorry, but that also means no lunch. The big room he rented is now available as I think he will call and cancel. For you guys still going, I hope you can all have a good time and get some fish but this storm and gas problems proved too much for some of us.

Simms suggested we take over his reservation in the apartment. I talked to Sue @ Cannons, and she should be ok as long as we have 6 people...I think it fits more though

I talked to JC earlier today and i think hes staying in my room. So right now just me, jc and possibly my GF but i doubt she will spend the night. You and beeber are more than welcome to stay in my room.

I just had to drop too much money fixing my truck. Plus I got voluntold to participate in a parade down here for Veterans Day, so no fishing for me. I still have all the Raffle prizes. Hopefully we can schedule a spring bash in March/April when I am on my PCS leave. I was thinking the end of March or first week in April if anyone is interested. I should also be able to get my hands on the Sage one Spey by then. Almost a two month wait time for me to get one right now.

Just got off the phone and we have secured the apartment Thurs-Sunday nights.
Lynch, she wants to move you over as well for Sat/Sun. I didn't want to speak for you, so I asked her to call you to confirm

There are 7 beds (3 bunks and a double), and 2 pull outs...so we're set!!!

I was planning on coming up till the hurricane screwed everything up.
Made it thru the storm ok but the damage in my area was horrendous.
I am now on a 7 day work schedule as my company needs to catch up on shipments.
Have fun guys and wish I could make it up.

Ran into my buddy who was up there the past 4 days...said it was one of his best trips yet, landed 5-12 fish per day. Things are looking good yall!
