Thanks TF,
The last pig I bought was 2 dollars a pound up to 80 lbs.
over that was 1.00 a lb, that was a few years ago.
I built my own rotisserie and my last pig was 120 lbs.
Hope your hungry TF. :)

RONBO is a guy who understands the value of a pig born and raised in the heart of the NYC watershed.
These "prime time" pigs could be imported from Haiti--- since they need two weeks notice...

WHAT? Tryin' to cut me out?!

Could be Haiti or China, probably feed with lead to fatten them up and increase the weight.
If I Lasso the pig is it cheaper, maybe a GB against pig mud wrestling show down.
We'll cook either one, what the hell.:)

Sorry CTobias, I'm not a Steelhead guy (yet). But if someone from the Bergen County area is willing to bring it up to the bash, then I'll get some homebrew to you.

RON!

AWESOME! SO happy the dates have been changed!!!!

I wasn't going to be able to make it as originally scheduled.. WOOOOOOO! So pumped!!!!

I will bring breakfast shtuff, fireball whiskey, and whatever else you may need.

Oh man, this is going to be a pants shitting good time!

I will most likely be coming up from NC, so I can always make a detour for some good home brew. I can't promise that it wont be empty by the time I got to Pulaski though.

Just kidding, I would never drink and drive. That's how you spill your beer.

That looks great Barley Wine,
Yes the waiting is the hardest part.:)
will get mine going this weekend, 2 ten gallon batches.
I like your doing the full mash, I've been using the liquid malt extract with some specialty grains with the large batches.
Can't wait to have a nice cold glass of your creation.:)

That's great you can make it Chris,
it's always a mixed bag when you change dates, I lost a couple and gained some.
I'll pm you the info. :thumb:

Don't worry CTobias , I Plan on coming to the Steelhead bash and we will not be short on the homebrew.

Do you bottle or keg? soda keg? force carbonate?

I generally keg in a corny keg and force carbonate. When I need to bottle a few for friends, travel, or competitions, then I just stick a bottle-length piece of tubing on the nozzle and slowly fill the bottle. I've found this to work quite well. Just kegged and force carbonated an English IPA tonight.

I can't speak for Barley wine but I make 10 gallon batches that are fermented in similar glass vessel's
I have the stainless steel 5 gallon soda kegs and a co2 system, I force carbonate the keg beer and regulate the pressure until it has the desired carbonation I want. I bottle the remaining 5 gallons and naturally carbonate that in the bottle.
The natural carbonation is very tricky and if not done exactly right you will get flat beer or beer champagne.
Now I also have a counter pressure bottling system that uses Regulated co2 to fill the bottles from the keg without foaming.
This is what the big brewers use but only on a much smaller scale.
This brewing is almost as complected as fly fishing, but the rewards are very satisfying.:)

The 1st date was better for me. I was planning on going to Lake George on the new date for bike week, but these pics got me thinking otherwise... Im parched.:beer1:

Screw Lake G...Been to that bike fest...Laconia is much better. Although if you have a wife, Lake G might be the better option...People go to Laconia married, and come back with lots of debt.

Not sure if I'd really hit the village of LG. We have a place about 25 minutes north from there. Just a great time to ride around the Dacks and see a lot of bikes on the road. Im more partial to Lake Placid myself. Between Boofest and the fact that I'd be picking black flies from my teeth for weeks after a bike trip upstate in June, I might just head to Ronbo Lodge.

Hey I'm going to try to make it up this year. Beeber said last year was awesome, I'll see if he's up for again this year...

I'm supposed to go on another fishing trip on the weekend before so this will take some coordinating...I should be able to make at least one night/day...

I'll probably have some scotch and can bring whatever else is needed...

I didn't want to do this but June 9 th is my birthday so I got the birthday card to pull, you got to come and celebrate with me.
with the bottle of scotch you'll be bringing:rofl:

I haven't OD'd on the hot sauce yet, but there's plenty left. A little goes a long ways. I don't have much in the way of time off right now, but Sat/Sun could be doable.
