Well, how about staying at Ronbo Lodge
Located in the Catskill mountains, it is centrally located 30 minutes from the Beaverkill or the West Branch of the Delaware.
The East Branch is within easy reach at only 20 minutes to Corbett Bridge.
Ronbo lodge offers first class acomedations (depends on how drunk the person is you ask) with hundreds of acres of remote wilderness( actualy 4 acres)
A world class trout stream runs thru the property( if you like 6" native brookies)
A casting pond with wild rainbows await your casting pleasure ( stocked right from the hatchery truck)
The acomedations include a camper that sleeps 4, a cabin for bunk style sleeping arangements and remote camping sites.
Ronbos world famous breakfest smorgesborg and hot showers are included in the low price ( Free)
Ronbo lodge offers a fully stocked bar. ( what ever Scotch Tom brings and Keg of the week supplied by Ronbo Lodge)
I was planning on having a Boo Bash this summer so this may be the ticket. Let me know if anyone is interested.
I'm still having the Boo bash regardless.

Ron ,
Have you picked a date for this yet? Sounds like it should be a great time ! You going to have some of your rods there I hope would like to cast a couple of yours.

One of my great disappointments in life so far is not having owned a bamboo rod. One day, one day...

I may have an interest and I've been known to bring a fine bottle of Scotch from time to time. June is a busy month for me, but I'm in the Catskills often enough anyway.

If I can make it, I'll bring some show tapes to boot!

Allen.
I will have a few of my rods there to cast as well as a few other makers.
There should also be a good selection of some nice vintage rods to check out.
I'll post a specific date when we get a little closer.
Hope to see you there

Brian hope you can make it.

I picked up one used a couple of years ago for $270.00 and it has quickly became one of my favorite rods. Check around there are some good deals to be had, I found mine at Housatonic River Outfitters. There website list used equipment.

Definitely sounds likes a good time. And don't downplay the 6" native brookie stream, that sounds like good stuff.

Thanks, Flyman - will do. I owned a very cheap one in my youth until I finally broke the tip. Now I would be able to appreciate one...

You got to watch who's nose you wave a fine bamboo under their like crack if it's for you next thing ya know the kids inheritance is gone although they are a good investment if the kids don't like them they can always sell them.

This sounds like a great time I look forward to living vicariously through those who go and post about it on the forums. I'll be studying for the bar exam and alternating between :bang::bang: and :guns::guns:

Rich,
Since it hasn't had it's official grand opening yet and some sections are still under renovations. We should keep it low key for now. or in other words keep em guessing.

I'll bring beer, bourbon and my one and only bamboo. Cannot promise to be sociable during fishing hours (read daylight and 1-2 hours before and after) but I can spin a decent tale around a campfire when appropriately lubricated with distilled spirits.

Pick a date, I'll try and put it on the calendar.

Sounds like fun...If I am up there that weekend, I will stop by and toast a few with ya...Maybe even do some fishing together..Do I actually need to fish with my buggy whip or just show you that I own one:D

:thumb:sounds like a good time. i can only hope some of us locals (who know where all the good spots are) can come. let me know when.

Glad to see i'm getting some intrest. I see June 20 th is out so i'll have to pick a weekend soon. But at least I know there's a pig roast to go to that weekend:)

It is being held in Walton NY.
It is at a private residence so I'll pm the address to people that are interested. Only 94 days to go :D
