I am going to start updating everyone with my daily life on here. I think I should start a new thread. A day in the life of CTobias.

Of course it will probably involve more fishing than most of you wankers. Well, except for the guys who guide on here like Rusty. He probably sleeps in his waders.

I took three poops today. They were glorious. I also went fishing and caught some cohos and got some roe for next king season. Went grocery shopping with the wife. They had pasta on sale. $1 a box! What a deal. We bought ten boxes. I also got some Swedish fish and chewy jolly ranchers. They're delicious. Then we went home and watched terminator for a bit. Then I itched my nuts and got ready for bed.

I started giving up since the only way to meet the "cool kids" on here is to buy something from them, otherwise they rather not deal with the riff raff...thanks for the oars WBDluver they have served me well

I've met tons of folks from this site over the years. Maybe because I never sold them anything? Well, maybe the false promise of free beer after a tree planting project :crap:

You can come and "fly fish" for kings here. It just amounts to chucking and ducking. Unfortunately I can't afford to fly across the bay every weekend to fish for kings that will take a swung fly, so I have to do the next best thing.

You can't unfriend me on facebook if I don't even have an account.

You have never met me. I was born in Netcong and should be considered the Musconetcongs orginal native son. I insist a statue of me be placed at Saxon Falls at TU expense

Yea to some degree I think Facebook has pulled people from forums like this, but also I think the economy plays some part in it too. Lets be honest Fly-Fishing is not cheap and if you are struggling financially and don't go out very often you are not going to spend that much time talking about what you can't do.

Didn't NEFF have a Facebook page or group? Maybe I'm just crazy

this is an astute observation by Phil.

the celebs here have their noses held high and won't give the riff raff any time of day, unless, of course, you buy something from them.

a few years back, when I was a bonafide fishing celeb, I charged jackasses like Carble and Simms for my flies. I sold them a dozen jack-a-lopes for the privilege of fishing with me on the D, or a trip to the SR.

but alas the luster on my celebrity star has dimmed, and I am just another of the riff raff here on neff.

You were never popular..infamous maybe but not popular.
 
What has happened on many forums is that the people who knew everything educated those that knew nothing and now everyone knows it all, so there is no longer anything to talk about.

Then the iPhone came along and made texting and pics easy and group messages ended the need for forums to spread the news about which rock in the stream is the best to stand on.
