Thanks! It's a giant project. It's way bigger than we thought. We have almost 1 terabyte of film. Besides the three days of shooting, we've spent at least 20 hours editing so far.

I have gained a real appreciation of what it takes to film and edit something. Technology is truly amazing...

What an intriguing and suspenseful video trailer....Great choice of music...You got me hooked for the release date...

I watched it a few times and I say WOW! Looks great and promising. I can't wait to see the full deal. The quality looks incredible. I'm not sure about the goon fishing but I'll get past that! :)

I just can't get over the Blue Ray like quality of this thing. Just wondering... Any local NJ/NY rivers featured here?

Dennis,

Thanks for the kind words. It was great to speak to you today. I can't wait to see people catching more fish in the coming year with these techniques.

We filmed on the Neversink and the Farmington. Most of it is on the Neversink since I thought that it would be better to film over wild trout than stickers. Some "B" roll shots will be used from day 1, but 99 percent will be from days 2 and 3.

I can take you to the exact location if you'd like in the spring. It's pretty good there!

You can't throw an invite out there unless you're going to take all of us! I'm looking forward to your video. There's not many videos out there based in Northeast fishing locales. I'm sure I'll enjoy the videos just for that reason. Any chance you might release some of the video you haven't included in your DVD?

We'd have to look into that after the film comes out. I would have to ask Alex and Taylor. We are going to start filming again right away this winter.

I hope to see some of you guys in Danbury today.

WOuld the location be the Gorge? :)

I still can't get over the video quality. It's about time someone around here put something together where you can tell a lot of time and effort was put into the project and not just slapped together. Other videos I've seen sound as if they had been narrated by the Lost in Space robot meets Ben Stein and stitched together with a flip phone camera at a cheezy punk rock show. This one looks and sounds energizing and fresh!

I'm with Dennis on the video quality and choice of the sound is AMAZING!!! I already sold it to a guy at work who's father has a house on the Neversink. Make sure it's out before Christmas.

Rambler23,

It was nice to meet up with you last weekend. Taylor said that he saw you at the Croton in the afternoon. How was the fishing?

I had the pleasure of watching this trailer at Danbury, and it brought back memories of the TPO field trip we had in the summer. Aaron caught trout with the same frequency on the Esopus that day with me as he does on the trailer you just watched.

Looking forward to the DVD man, congrats on a job well done. CJ

Aaron, real nice meeting you too man, thanks for the advice and the tying demo, I actually tied up a few of your woven patterns that I'm confident will catch a few fish.

I fished for a few hours until dark, and the conditions were pretty good. I was able to pick up a few fish, one being a nice healthy brown on small nymphs. olive caddis and zebra midge patterns worked well. I'll try to post a pic of the brown when I get home tonight.

Things actually looked really promising. For a river that I thought was slowly going to hell, I was really impressed with the way things looked. I think the storms changed things up a little bit, as there are now some deeper runs and nice riffles that I don't recall seeing in the past (down beyond where most people walk to). All in all, things are looking good for winter fishing.

OK! It's December 1st.... looking for your video!

I've gotten in the mood. I ordered and recieved "Once in a Blue Moon" yesterday. Great filming and beautiful rivers.

I dropped the film off to be copied on Monday. The owner of the facility told me that we might get lucky and get it quickly since the holiday "rush" is over. I am just glad that it's finished! Today on the way home I realized that the moment that they are done making it that I am going to be at the post office everyday after work for a few weeks!

We rushed a few things and then while we were reviewing it we decided not to rush and get it right. That's the main reason for the hiccup. Taylor made a good point, you only have one chance at doing it get it right.

Ok It's coming VERY VERY SOON :)

You can order it through the tpo store or they will start appearing in fly shops by the end of the week.

Dennis thanks for allowing us to put this here. I showed Taylor and Alex and they appreciate it as well.
