I have seen this before. Now looking at the pictures again I know exaclty where this is. I have fished that hole many times. I have spooked some big fish out of the hole but nothing close to 28 inches. I have seen one in a differnt hole in the same-ish general area that might be close to that large.

Damn. That's a big trout. You hear stories...It's wild back there and with deep enough undercut banks, who knows. Even in Upper Michigan, men fly fish all their lives to catch a trout like that. If a 17 inch brown can exist in the little Passaic headwaters at Scherman Hoffman, they must grow pretty big in the SB. And by the way, my son went snorkeling in those Passaic headwaters and sighted a four pound largemouth in the deepest hole. You know what it was eating.
