Well folks, here we are in mid September, and what a great time to fish and take pictures!
I'd like to start up a photography contest with Prizes. Whether you're a professional or an amerature, you're more than welcomed to join.
The entry fee is $5.00 PER PHOTO, NOT PER CONTESTANT and NON-REFUNDABLE unless we do not meet the minimum photo requirement of 10 photos. This $5.00 will go toward a few things. First, it will help contribute to the $75.00 grand prize and a $25.00 second place prize. Second, it will help contribute to the existance of this site (of course for some of you cheepskates who might question this, we would need over 20 contestants for the site to see anything). You can pay via Paypal or check. If you upload photos, please pay immediately. Prizes will not be given to those who do not pay.
We will require a minimum of 10 (TEN) photos for this contest to continue. If we don't receive 10 photos, your money will be refunded. If we do get more than 10, next month I will guarantee even larger prizes.
Pictures MUST be uploaded to THIS SITE ONLY. The reason for this is because our photo software allows for users to vote on your pictures. If your have problems uploading your pictures, chances are that they exceed the upload file size. If you don't know how to shrink your images, you can email them to me and I'll upload them for you.

In the event of a tie, I will run tie images through a panel consisting of 3 judges (Me, Myself, & I) and will pick the winner.
Ladies and Gentlemen, these are CASH prizes. Let's get some sign ups. $5.00 is easy to scrounge up. The paypal donation button is on the home page of this site on the left side. Just scroll down a little and you'll see it.
Copyrights... You reserve the right to your work. We (NEFF) reserve the right to use your work within the confines of this site.
Watermarks: If you haven't noticed, I have NOT watermarked an uploaded image in 3 years. I personally watermark some of MY personal uploads, but NOT yours. If you must include a watermark with your photo, please make it small and place it in a not so obvious place within the photo. I understand you're protecting your work but having a watermark pasted over your subject is a bit obnoxious for the purpose of this contest. If your photo is that good, you'll be better off selling it to an art gallery instead of submitting it here.
What is acceptable? This is an outdoor sportsman site. Photo's of your daughters wedding are probably not going get a lot of votes unless she's nude and fishing in her wedding dress off a drift boat (in which case, you win by default)
. Photo's of another brown trout are acceptable but let's face it, we've got tons of them here and around the internet already. An artsy type of picture or magazine quality picture of that brown trout is in my opinion a better choice than a picture of a 4" brookie being held in your hand with a treble hook dangling from its mouth (I think this automatically disqualifies NJAngler from entering this contest). Digitally enhanced photo's are also welcomed. If you over do your photo, it might not look as good as you think. That's your option though. I'm sure many of you have beautiful kids, unless they are holding a rod or a fish or are shooting a rifle, I don't think many people will care.
Prizes will be paid via Paypal. If you don't have a Paypal account, spend 5 minutes and get one, they're free. Otherwise, I'll send you a check.
Finally, let's try to make this a success. Tell your friends about our little contest here and get them to submit a picture or two. I can guarantee you that the prizes will only get better with time.
