Artwork indeed!! Are you going to use that thing or just look at it. I could never be trusted with such delicate equipment, I could see myself being all tanked up and needing a piece kindling wood...... What did it set you back? And I have to say, calling it "boo" is a little gay....... And then when you used the word flaming I got a little scared......

I notice that it's 7'6" and named "perfectionist". Can't help but wonder if it's made with the same taper as the Paul Young model of the same name? I had two of them and they were the finest cane rods I ever fished with. If so, I'm sure you're going to love it!:)

Hi Andy ,
I am familiar with the fly rod you are speaking of and they are nothing short of a dream to cast. The one Jason built is a taper he has been working on since he started building rods. It is pretty sweet works in close and if you need to dump some line for a long cast you can do that as well. This rod will do what you tell it to do with great accuracy.:)

Nice rod! Al let me cast it Sunday and it was sweet. Jason makes nice rods, but he really ramped up the aesthetics for this one. A very nice looking rod.

Congrats Allen, Nice looking rod!!
I like the Agate on the stripper, very unique.
I'll have to catch up with you one day and cast that new baby of yours.:)

Hi Ron I'll be in Rosco tomorrow for the day if you can make it, from there will be heading to Pulaski for the weekend, After that I'll be back up to tye at the Rendezvous and hang out for the Come Hell Or High Water event for that weekend. So we should be able to get together sometime soon.:)

Damn Al - you sound like a fishing machine.

The opener seems like it will be flooded out in the Catskills and I'm not heading up, but the Finger Lakes tribs should be OK. Of course you will catch 10% of the fish and they will be smaller than the Salmon R fish, but you need to get a challenge. What's the fun catching a steelie every minute or two after a while.
