The river looks extraordinary. I'd like to make my way there some day.

It really is an extraordinary river. I love it out there. GB you would fit fight right in with your cane rods and dry fly's. BE SURE TO FISH THE CLASSIC STRETCH!

Beautiful waters.

One of fly fishing's historic and classic streams.

Nice pics, brings back great memories. The biggest trout I have ever seen in my life was in the Letort. I was 16 and drove out there to camp for a few days and fished the waters I had been reading about in "A dry fly code". I had snagged my fur ant on a root jam and was wading in to retrieve it and looked down to make sure I didn't trip on the roots of an old willow when I saw the tail of a trout that was easily over 30". I only saw the back half of the brown as he was just laid up resting in the root jam. I stared at it for a few minutes in shock and then with a minute flick of the tail he glided under the rest of the root jam and vanished. I drove back to the Letort on every day off from my summer job the rest of the year and fished that run in the middle of the night with streamers hoping to hook him but never saw him again!
