  • I have always thoroughly enjoyed your blog -- it is just awesome how you capture your fishing excursions and the detail that you put into is amazing -- Please do not ever stop it really is one of the best blogs i have ever read. Also -- your pictures are second to none -- keep up the GREAT WORK
BRK TRT: I'm thinking of taking a day off from work (Boston) this month and fishing an eastern Connecticut river for browns and/or rainbows (I know and respect your affection for the smaller streams, but it's browns on a 5-wt that occupy my daydreams). Could I ask your recommendation? I'm a pretty experienced angler, will be wading, and hope to play the hatch-matching insect game. From the reading I've done, I'm curious about the Shetucket in particular (and for trout not the famous broodstock salmon season, which I know is over for this season). I have fished the Salmon River in Colchester, but that's probably as far west in Connecticut as I would want to go on a round-day-trip from my home on Cape Cod. Okay, so that's enough of the criteria. I respect your many postings, and somehow have the impression from home waters are in eastern CT, so I thought I'd ask. Thanks.
Hey BRK TRT... I saw all the news about flooding in CT and Rhode Island. Hope you made out Ok and hope the streams arent too wrecked..Tight lines!!
Hey BRK TRT I am new to this site and also from CT and really into small stream trout fishing as you are. What are some of the WTMA's you fish?
hey BRK TRT, I am situated in both central mass and southern new york and I was wondering if there were any areas that you could share with me that had some wild brook trout streams...i am not asking for your secret spots or anything, I just don't know where to begin my search. email: marnold722@gmail.com thanks
    Brk trt
sorry for the late response. Yes I did. That last picture was a fish from the brook. Very nice brook. I was there for a couple hours and caught quite a few energetic fish.
