James Capes presentation entitled "Who Moved My Trout" at RRTU last night was without a doubt one of
the finest presentations on how to approach the stream and finding trout I have sat through in a very long time.
In it he covered stream anatomy, water temperatures and quality, structure, seasonal changes, motivating and
environmental factors to put you in the best postition to catch trout any where. With a thought process as
where they are and most importantly, why they are there by breaking the code with a set of simple but
very important factors to take into consideration.
It was clear from the start that Jim is a very experienced, his presentation was well thoughtout and
complete as the knowledge just rolled out all evening.
I always focus in on the questions asked after a presentation because it is always a clear view of how
good the presentation was, the questions asked by the RRTU members showed that Jim's presentation
stimulated a great deal of thought and interest.
At the end JIm was kind enough to give everyone in attendance two of his "Double Trigger Early Black Stoneflies" to try out.
If there is another TU or fishing club out there looking for an outstanding guest speaker I highly recommend Jim.
