Those are some really nice looking stoneflies!
what did you tie the ribs with?
what did you tie the ribs with?
BULL SH!T
Course, you will have to post the "recipe" for those that are just learning, after all, this is a FLY FISHING site, not a FLY TYING site...
But, you know, some people like klg are just F-N stupid and need everything laid out and explained to them.
You can't help yourself, can you? Why don't you read your avatar before you ruin another thread by saying something "stupid"?
Why don't you go crawl back under the bridge you came from and stay there until you grow up..........
Very nice flies. Using the stretch tube material doesn't have a D side to it, it flattens out like your brain dip sh!t on both sides when you wrap it.

Some of my winter favorites
would you please post a recipe of the stonefly
What are you going to do with it?
You'll waste his time posting it and you won't do a thing with it.
I have noticed your writing style lately.. what did you go to the Shirley Temple School of Writing in a vain attempt to win friends.
This is NEFF, not NJTrout or Girl Scout Trout. Over on those two boards one person write a... say fishing report, then the next 43 post all say something along the lines like, nice fish, nice fly, can you send the recipe.. and so on. YUCK.....
should at least make things a bit more interesting.
For once I think you might be onto something here. We should make a new System Rule...
#9. If you ask for a fly recipe, you must at least attempt to create the product of the recipe and post a photo of it.
That should at least make things a bit more interesting.
Rule number
Well, now I'm curious to see how other people tie this pattern...here's the recipe:
Well, now I'm curious to see how other people tie this pattern...here's the recipe:
Hook: Tiemco #8 Curved stonefly hook(not sure of the hook number)
Thread: Yellow #6
Tail: Brown biots
Dubbing: Hareline Golden stonefly dubbing/spiky hares ear mixed 50/50
Rib: Small brown stretch tubing
Abdomen: Pheasant tail tied over the top of tightly wound dubbing so lighter side is on top, then rib over that
Thorax: Same dubbing but tied loose/Brown swiss straw
When tying the thorax, dub the swiss straw back over the previous segment slightly to give the appearance of the back "plates" of the stonefly nymph.
Add lead wire for weight if you prefer.
