FACEBOOK Connected to NEFF

FACEBOOK... I've had some software here for a while but have been a little hesitant to install it. Tonight I figured I'd give it a shot. You can now synchronize your user accounts to your facebook account. There is one catch though. Your user names on both NEFF and Facebook have to be identicle. If you want your usernames changed here to match your facebook usernames, I can do that for you. Just shoot me an email or PM and I'll take care of it right away.

You can now use the FACEBOOK icon on the bottom of each post to Post ANY message on NEFF to your FACEBOOK accounts. It's actually pretty cool.

I need some people to test it out so if You would like to test it out but not have to re-register or change your usernames, let me know and I'll create a new account for you with your Facebook name.

Although it is live, it's also in a Beta stage until we get green lights from some Beta testers.

We've had a NORTH EASTERN FLY FISHING Facebook group for quite some time now (about a year). Nothing like staying ahead of "the competition" whoever that might be.

Now you'll notice a new image next to your logon info

Clicking on that will open a new browser window to our Facebook group.

As I mentioned already, we've had a FB group for about a year. I just never paid much attention to it after creating it.

I just happened to stumble upon the GST FB page the other day and my eyeballs almost burned out of the sockets when I read this comment:

Ok, so maybe we don't always talk about fishing here on NEFF... Perhaps we should talk about a few things we would find on GST such as:

1. "Anyone know where I can get some good wings?"
2. "Anyone ever have scrambled eggs made with cream cheese?"
3. "Drowning at Indian Lake" (My sentiments are with you RYAN, I mean... How stupid can you be?)
4. "Banned on NEFF" (by ole' pumpkin tits himself, KLG Neighbor)
5. "Joe Strummer" (Poor guy... Geez, even something Hooli and I can agree on)
6. "Jets absolutely suck"

I particularly enjoyed this quote from a GST user, "I peed into the bushes of front yards, right on the side of the highway and roads."

I don't see much competition.

When you pick things out like that it is really friggin' hilarious. I was surprised I caught some hell over there (in hindsight I should've expected it) for posting that I wasn't shedding a tear for that Darwin award winner. How can I do anything but chuckle over the news some numbskull died trying to see how far he could swim under the ice? I feel bad for his family's loss but c'mon not a great loss to our gene pool in my view. Now a few of 'em are in tizzy because some new guy came on, politely introduced himself, thanked the Lord a few times and said God Bless. So naturally I have to try to egg those guys on a bit more by joining in with that- you know just doing my part to annoy the thin-skinned.

Now I usually forget to check it, I just read thru & deleted 160 messages, that's how little I check it. Woohoo, yeah I'm having a blast. And what's up with the people that send you stupid games and hearts and other dumb stuff? I'm not 12, I don't friggin' care. I hunt & fish, not post my life on some home page all night, lol.
