NY & NJ's oldest fly shops are sponsoring the first annual Sparse Grey Matter fly tying Event on Saturday February 27, 2011 at the Califon Fire House on Main St in Califon, One block from Shannons Fly & Tackle...10AM-3PM

All are welcome to come tie or observe...There is no charge (although small donations are happily accepted)..So come shake off the winter blues and join us...This is alos a great way to meet some of your fellow NEFF members...

Also, if you're planning to come and don't know the Califon firehouse, there are actually 2 buildings. My guess is the one furthest from the river/fly shop. The first big building just has the fire fighting equipment in it, the next building is the meeting hall - FYI.

The word got out that I will be attending the Tie and Lie tomorrow in Califon.

Last night I received word that my good friend upon hearing that I shall be in attendance has decided to change his plans and just might stop in.

Well I just got finished communicating with the President (Pres. Obama) and he too has decided to look into possibly attending.

So for those planning to attend I highly recommend to have two forms of photo ID, have no automatic weapon in their pack pack.

Former Pres. GWB also may bring HIS BAMBOO rod and do a little fishing afterwards in KLG. Might even give a CASTing demo.

This is slowly growing into a major event. Most everyone I saw today at Ramsey - Sucassunna will be there tomorrow.

Well I just received an e-mail from another friend sending his regrets that he cannot make it to the TIE & LIE tomorrow in Califon.

He is having a little problem at home, which happens to everyone now and then.

But in recent years he has really tried to get along not only with everyone at home, but everyone else in the fly fishing community.

I just hope Moammar can work it out with Mrs. Gadhafi tonight and be there tomorrow.

Hope he gets to keep his job. Otherwise he will just become another LAZY BUM and a burden on society.

Like my tax dollars should go towards engraved tea cups.
