Has anyone put in or taken out a pontoon from the Lordville parking area on the Delaware. Im thinking about taking out there.
Thanks

sorry to jump in but i need some help i want to offer my 8' 4wt. TMF up for trade before it goes to ebay but i cant figure out how to put it in the classifieds can anyone help ? thanks.

the only thing i ever do on here is read so i dont no how to start a new topic or anything else for that matter

I sometimes driftboat it down to there to keep the float shorter (more time fishing not rowing) and then leave the boat under the bridge over night and float down from there first thing in the AM. It changes the way you can fish when you have the added time.

for a bottle of cheap vodka (and I mean cheap), the Russian will lug anything up the path. Don't spend more than $8. Popov, or similar quality. Don't listen to his hard luck stories. And whatever you do, don't pay for any scenic flights from the bridge on his home-built airplane -- I don't think it's FAA-certified, even as experimental.

Why would you want to float to Lordville? The whole stretch is void of Trout! you will be paddling your ass off with no rewards of fish coming to net.

Stay on the West Branch since you love it so much;)

Living 40 mins south of Equninuk puts me in a position to fish the Delaware a lot. SO, I'm not asking if its good to fish, I just never used the Lordville side to park and was wonder if I could take a pontoon out there. So thanks for the replys. Now which one of you wants to wait and give me a hand putting it in the truck:)

DEC placed a gigantic rock in front of the passage a few guides I know had made earlier in the year......Its likely not a coincidence that DEC did this last week once this thread had gotten going on NEFF. A lot of people lurk on this site, likely some that don't like the idea of people using lordville as a boat launch. Lets keep details on the mainstem, and things like launch/specific fishing locations off the public forum people. Lordville is a done deal now for guys who use to put in there with 4wd cars/driftboats

The question was about putting in a pontoon boat not a drift boat. And nowhere in the thread was there any mention about launching a drift boat. The rock was put there because its not a boat launch. Its an access area.

it could have been avoided, and I'm just pointing out that sometimes things are better figured out off of the internet. A shop up there could have answered the question just as well, and the rock would not have been placed there. Almost all of the NYS access points where people put in boats aren't official launch sites because the state is broke and wont put in the ramps in most areas. You need to get creative on the New York Side to float from the west branch all the way down through the system

So can I launch the 21' fishin barge or not?
