Hit the gorge yesterday for about 4 hours. Wanted to try out some cold weather gear I got for steelheading. It was certaintly cold enough and everything worked fine. Managed 3 nice browns and lost a big rainbow all on BHHE with a scud dropper. Had the river all to myself, only walkers around, there was no one else out fishing the lower end of the gorge.

Which was more effective, the BHHE or the scud?

Sounds like you have the same big bow problem I've been having.

Fair to say no bikini hatch going on.

Had success on the BHHE as well as an orange and a yellow scud. No there was no bikini hatch coming off.
