Hey Hllywd, I'll give my guy's down there a shout Jose and Flip they know whats going on. If you need a guide I'd be willing to do it we can rent a flats boat it will save a little for you.

A little late. Funny I was speaking w/ a guide from Key West Saturday who knew the Guide I got out with for four hours. Mike Cyr was his name. Will post his company info later. He had me into fish in 10 minutes. Caught and landed an 80 pound Tarpon and a 15 pound Permit.
Sometimes you need to deal with the fact that you can't use the fly rod when the fish are 25 feet deep. The Permit was on the fly rod and a blast to catch.

Several years ago a magazine published an article on flats fishing if the Keys. I believe it was Saltwater Fly Fishing, before it merged with American Angler.
If you call them they can probably sell you the article.

Considering I got married before the fishing I would have to say it was her.
Fridays conversation while sitting on the beach watching bait fish being chased.

After reading that I have to say - that was very heart warming.
I think the last time I was that touched was when Lassie returned home.
That Sunday evening sitting before the TV Timmy Martin wasn't the
only one unable to believe his eyes to see Lassie hobbling over that hill.
To this day it still warms the cockles of my heart.

Hey neighbor! An 80 pound Tarpon you say? 80 pound Tarpon is on my list of "10 fish to catch on a fly rod before you die". I was thinking about a trip to Venezuela but Florida is so much closer

We did party till around 2. Look up Fantasy Fest 2009. A yearly tradition in Key West. :hubbahubba: Was neat I got to meet Ron Jeremy.... I washed my hands right after that. As my friend said be happy thats all you had to clean.:beingsick:
Thanks Mike, Drak's The Tarpon was on 12 pound light tackle drifting crabs. Next time out I plan on the Tarpon and a fly rod. Maybe next year I will setup a TU trip for that too. The Permit was on the fly. Pics on FB.
