Amawalk inlet Fishing?

has anyone know where to access the river if you go to fish in Amawalk? can anyone please guide me so that i can decide whether to go to Esopus or the Amawalk. i know how to get to Esopus but PLEASE give me driving directions to Amawalk fron nyc. i just got a new set of flies from Big y flies...its itching a lot to try them out. i had good results with brown stone fly at bushkill even thought the temp was aroung 69 degrees.

Go to the New York City Trout Bums site. There are virtual maps for all the trout rivers & streams in the NY tri state area. I've only fished the Amawalk once about five years ago.

Surely you mean the Amawalk Outlet. The Amawalk Inlet is going to be warm and unfishable at this point in the season, whereas the outlet is a tailwater that usually is cool enough to fish. Just go to google maps and type in Amawalk Reservoir and look for the stream that runs out of it.

The Amawalk is off of Wood Avenue, I thinking, which is off of Route 35.
