Albright Tackle - sale

Just got a new 5/6-weight for $37. These rods appear to compare well with Echo & TFO, so I couldn't pass it up. Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up Karel. UPS should be dropping of a 7/8 9'6" GP rod and GP real w/ xtra spool today. With total cost at about $105.00 I couldnt resist. As soon as I get a few different lines on it I will let you all know how it works. BTW: some of the models are already sold out, so if you are on the fence, bust a move.

Those prices were way too low to pass up. I picked up a 3/4 7'6" topwater rod and a Bugati 3/4 reel, plus a pair of the trinity waders.
(waiting for UPS impatiently)

I hope my trinity waders come soon... they have shipped a couple days ago!

My new GP is almost exactly the same as my ECHO, but it cost only $40!!! What a deal thanks Karel!!!

Big thanks Karel! Everything arrived a few days ago, and looks great! Who woulda thunk you could get a nice setup (minus backing, line, and leaders) for under $100!
Great looking stuff too!

I got my Trinity Waders on Thursday and broke them in on Sunday. Very impressed with them, quality seems to be very good. A bit heavier than my Simms L2's, but that is ok for winter fly fishing. Glad to have some backup's for only $40....

I did some research why Albright is selling so "inexpensively"... seems that they are discontinuing to sell to retail and will sell from warehouse to consumer directly (cutting out the middle man) as well as clearing some of their inventory for new 2009 product. They will continue to offer special deals and if you are on their email notification list, you will get an email.

Disclaimer: I do NOT get a kickback, I learned of their deals through a Colorado based fly fishing forum and thought I would share it with my friends from "back East".

Karel ,I want to say thanks. I ordered a setup on Friday afternoon and recieved it on Monday morning.Went to Ramsey for some line and the setup fishes ok. I got a 7'6" and a 9' 4wt with a 3/4 reel. It's not the best equipment, but it will work for what I need it for.

bye the way pm me that address for where you want that envolope sent

I finally had time to try out some different lines on the GP 7/8 wt. I decided on the Rio 8 wt striped bass line. It is a long head sinking line. The other spool got a Rio grand in the 7wt. After casting both for a little bit, I found myself really enjoying casting this Albright stick.

Over all impression of my Albright experiance:

Order was processed quickly and received very fast

The rod cast very well even w/o fancy hardware, although the cork was much nicer than I had expected

The reel is a little nicer than I had expected as well

A reel case and a nice rod tube were also included.

I give Albright two thumbs up. I will have to check out what their new stuff is like next year.

Well I am off to pound the banks with some streamers looking for a couple:bigfish:

I have that rod in a 9 ft 6 wt and just took it out of mothballs yesterday. I had forgotten how much I liked it.

I went ahead and ordered a heavy setup that I can (hopefully) use for salt. Picked up a A-5 series 9' 9 wt. with a 9/10 GPX reel. I have to say, that for $90 the reel is gorgeous! Will put up some pics later.
