    Lordville parking area

for a bottle of cheap vodka (and I mean cheap), the Russian will lug anything up the path. Don't spend more than $8. Popov, or similar quality. Don't listen to his hard luck stories. And whatever you do, don't pay for any scenic flights from the bridge on his home-built airplane -- I don't...

    Route 17 Bridgeville construction?

What is going on here, anybody know? Every time I drive up to the Delaware there's been massive landclearing. Is there a casino finally going up? Seems as if a lot of pollution may be heading right into the Neversink directly below?

    Just want to say hello...

Probably distance (and driving time) will always be an issue for you. Have you considered saltwater? Much closer to Brooklyn and may appeal more to your statistical bent?

    NY Marine Fishing Licenses

I wonder how many people who can't even spell correctly make assumptions about people's behavior based on what neighborhood they live?

    New Format loads slowly

I also experienced slowness, on everything not just this board. I also got rid of MS Explorer, tried Firefox and found it to solve if not eliminate my speed issues. I have not tried Google Chrome, but Firefox is warp speed faster than clunky, virus-prone MS Explorer.

need fishing destination for vets with disabilities

A non-profit group helping vets with disabilities needs to take a group of about a dozen to a place around 2 hours of Manhattan where they can be almost certain to catch a fish. The eager vets have been diligently practicing casting with fly rods, but are still new to the sport. Any suggestions...

    Hook Keeper Help

ditto that advice, esp. the "upper guide", i.e., a bare metal guide. If you hook the hook into a "lower" guide (one that is ceramic or another coating to make the line move through with less friction), the hook may bite into the coating and crack it and your line will be cut. (for saltwater...

WB gas pipeline already in construction?

was on WB yesterday (Wednesday) and watched large gang of construction workers wrestling a huge blue hose across the WB (half mile above Deposit Bridge, in front of farm pool). They have been working there at least several weeks preparing the riverbed. There is an existing gas pipeline buried...

    I agree with FUDR!!

Well.... I dunno. There's always a lag between conditions and the people who have the power to alter conditions. I always thought the more organizations (and people) that complained, cajoled, persuaded, ranted, urged, negotiated, etc. the better, with the goal of festering until enough...
