New Format loads slowly

Hi Dennis,

Does anyone else find the new format loads slowly?

I have DSL from Hancock and the new initial page takes quite a long time to load. Enough to be annoying.

It seems like the background takes forever.

Is it something I have wrong with my computer?

Jim, this has been in place for quite some time; you're just noticing now? Maybe something happened to your service? How long has this site been running slow for you?

I had problems before I got the service pack update for explorer8 since then no troubles at all. Could be a browser issue if you use explorer just a suggestion.

Get rid of MS Exploder and go with Firefox - no problems at all.

Seems to have been slw since the new format was put in.

I think I have gone through some of the possible causes.

I also experienced slowness, on everything not just this board. I also got rid of MS Explorer, tried Firefox and found it to solve if not eliminate my speed issues. I have not tried Google Chrome, but Firefox is warp speed faster than clunky, virus-prone MS Explorer.

If you are running IE8 and have no desire to run Firefox or other hip browsers, try using the Compatability Mode feature located as a button at the top of the browser window, above the menu bar.

It makes a BIG difference!

You know I find my computer the format loads very slowly too if I blink real fast while looking at it.
