What happened to NEFF?

NEFF is no longer the site it had been, and I can only speculate as to what happened. Despite Macfly's best efforts to make this place relevant by turning it in to his own personal trading post, it seems nothing can be done. Sorry mac, but I'm not interested in your Redington red fly nymphing rod, and nobody else is either.

But the real problem with Neff is the new breed of boring poster.

Im not gong to name any names.

But I will say their usernames.

Thursthose.

Just puts me to sleep.

And Oliver10 makes me want to vomit.

These two more than anyone ruined Neff.

It will never bevthe same again, so long as they are allowed to continue their drivel postings.
 
This reminds me....I have a redington RS4 8 1/2 3 weight fly rod for sale 75.00. It's new never been fished. 10 bucks shipping. Pm me if interested.

I blame Simms for bailing and not contributing anymore to the written abuse of the flock. Although I guess I should blame Beetle too for making Simms his Stepford wife and locking him up the s&m closet.

I heard that DC is in negotiations with AK to come back...problem solved.
Ak has only two demands...
A public apology from DC...
and DC has to ban GB from the site.

Seems like a no brainer...
 
I used to be on this site 24/7. Now I visit a few times a day, poke around to make sure everything is functional, and leave.


We're talking fish here... Not much changes. We more or less know what to expect. Fish will eat bugs, the seasons will change, the weather will change, the rivers will flood, the rivers will recede to low levels, people will post pictures of their 21" fish or post something like Trout Guy who has a great post with pics. Hendrickson's in April (Oh my, they're 2 weeks early this year or 2 weeks late; followed up with someones wishy washy explanation about the subject as to why it's happening. March Browns in May??? I never got that one. Why not call them MAY BROWNS? Have they always been 2 months late?


The fracking debates and the FUDR vs. DRF stuff was great a few years back. I think everyone loves the FUDR today. Fracking science with its evidence of wonders or wonderless - or lack of evidence, changes every day. One day it's fine the next it's not (just depends on who you're talking to!).



Maybe the site will bounce back, maybe it wont. Is anyone unhappy with how the site is at the moment? If you're unhappy, do something about it and contribute more of your effort into posting some good pictures and stories. That might be a good start. Otherwise, don't complain.

People are too sensitive. I saw that if a debate started about....let's say religion perhaps......The sensitive godies packed up and left....The insensitive ones, who are confident in their beliefs stayed and debated........I respect you for your beliefs, I disagree with them, but if you are going to run away, all I can do is giggle......
It took me a few weeks to realize that most of the Boobery(my new favorite word) is just that BOOBERY..it means nothing..it is just a web-site, and I get many laughs from it....hopefully it will bounce back and people will not be so up-tight and just roll with it...I have my share of jabs taken..they make me laugh also...I guess I just like to laugh a lot..If you don't think it's funny, well than:finger:

Tom, it comes down to the color scheme.

I've said it for years, that the color scheme is symbolic and establishes the board fung shway.

That is an Eastern philosophical idea that proposes a relationship between the color scheme and the mood of those on the site.

Neff needs to be blue and white, for late fall.

The Blue symbolizes the coming winter; long, cold, harsh and unforgiving.

The white symbolizes the color of all the angry and ridiculous people here.

Who can argue with that?

Blue and white, and this place will be rocking and rolling in no time.
