The smart-ass attitude and general boobery, is why I look at this site. I find people who take themselves so seriously, to be for lack of a better word....silly and not worth my time...some issues are serious and should be taken as so, but tying feathers on a hook and flinging them at stooopid fish is not one of them. I enjoy it, enjoy the history of it, and all the stories and folk lore associated with it, but I cannot stand the attitude some people have when it comes to tying and fishing. This is why I act like a complete snot about my equipment, because it is fun to debate and poke fun at myself and others...I would fish with a stick and a piece of yarn, if that is all I had.......I do not seriously insult or talk about other people here, if I insult you by accident, understand it is sarcasm, and meant to be funny, sling it back at me!!!(DC when are we getting that "sarcasm" button).......

That Grobert fellow, well he is another story, I have never met him!!!:).....great fly tier, like BHC, and you Andy B...your flies do all look the same though:)....I am sure all the people who left still lurk here...obviously you do....flytyer, another good tier, CTobias, ohhh and we cannot forget Trico Mike...what nice flies he ties......but I do not understand why people seriously need to insult others about fly fishing, tying, posting on the internet, and the such....if you don't like it go away and don't look....all the insults do is make you look bad.....I learned that as well....remember when I used to bust Johnny Utah's balls, well it just wasn't worth it, and it was fun for a day or two, but come on, I grew up......make it what it is suppose to be...FUN!!!!!

If you don't like what i am saying here.....oh well....I guess you can ignore me, and I will ignore you...or bust you nuts more!!!!

I think as human's, we strive to do the best we can. Competition is healthy. It brings out the best and the worst of people. Some people stab others in the back to move ahead... I don't like it but that's life.

Andy, if Allen left the beer cans on the side of the stream, he should be reamed for it but I think Allen cleared that up and said they were all picked up. When I'm fishing in my boat, there are empty bottles all over the place. I have no reason to doubt him but I could be misinformed. I'm sorry to say, a picture of beer cans on the bank isn't going to convince me that when he left, he left the cans behind. I don't take pictures of them to frame myself though. At the end of the day when I'm done fishing, they go in a bag and are thrown in the garbage.

They use Allen as their ass puppet and I just love it. Add in the fact of Allen running to Don Bastian like a whiny little girl nd tells him so and so said something about him.

If this happened... so what... Sticks and stones. If whatever he told Don was true then maybe you shouldn't have been friends with, Don in the first place. If it wasn't true then you could have (and maybe did) speak with Don to give him your side of the story. If he didn't want to hear it then shame on, Don... You didn't need him anyway.

Macuseless doesn't run this website, I do. Macfly has access to delete spam and moderate/delete posts... That's it.

Honestly this board was a hell of a lot more than what it is today. This board you to have friendships and Fly swaps and had meetups to go fishing with one another. Now all it has is sarcasm and half of an empty shell.

The site was what it was and is what it is. Quite a few people still use the site for whatever purpose they feel a need for. We till talk trout and fly fishing but let's face it... The place would be boring without all the jokesters. Having guys like Macfly, beetle, Lightenup, WBDLuver, TT, and others keep the site alive and interesting. If you don't want to use it because it's not for you then there are other sites for you which cater more to your wants and needs. Unfortunately, this site is probably not for you.

I myself have left this site and some of my friends like Trout Fever I see don't post here any more.

I've seen so many users come and go. I don't like to lose users but the fact is... They moved on and maybe found other sites that best suit their needs. New users sign on every day. Some will stay, some wont. As a website owner, I understand that not everyone is always going to be happy. It's just not possible. It's possible that I go out of my way to make you happy but in turn, 4 other people may not be happy with the decision I made. I don't expect everybody to like the way I run the place.

A lot of good people were run off and alot of others I was gald left because they were just troublesome. There used to be a lot of good and yes a lot of ball busting on this site whicj was a good thing. It's just this stupid medium called the interenet that allows weaklings like Golden Beetle to shine, because if you meet him in public he becomes captain cupcake and abck away when you start to show any anger.

A lot of good people left the site on their own because the site was something that wasn't for them. The site has evolved many times. As for Cpt Cupcake... he's still posting but he is moderated. He's been a good cupcake lately. I don't know why anyone would show anger with someone they meet from a website. It's just a website and if he made fun of something you did, I'm sure he was just busting your balls even if he was serious. His most recent reply to you... I couldn't help but laugh. Andy... if you can't laugh at yourself every so often and just roll with the punches, it just shows that you have a stick up your ass. People poke at me all the time. I have big ears... When I was a kid, they said I looked like a car driving down the street with the doors open. At the time (I was a little kid) I was offended. Looking back, it was pretty damned funny. You get pissed because people say your flies all look the same. They do. Change up a color here and there but essentially (just like a catskill style fly) they all look like each other. Why would anyone take offense to a true statement? You tie some nice looking flies, no question about it but they're like a package of M&M's... A brilliant design of all different colors, same great tasting candy.


DC and his father have always been good guys and have always been nice and respectful to me.

MAC comes off as a man in desperate need of a Blow Job when you meet him in Person. He tries to intimidate and act like a tough guy which he is not and will get his ass kicked one day for it. Just think of it as a McBeating.

Matt Grobert is the only one left that tries to do something good with his tying videos. Try and and be a little more respectfull to him, he is a good person to have around and maybe one day you might not have him any more.

Oliver was always a good guy to have around and I miss alot of the others that just gave up with this web site, Alot of the ones that left is what made and added to this site. Tom Fly my friend I am glad you are still around. It's the way this board runs any more that makes we want to puke. It's not to late to change it, but in awhile longer it will be and will eventually die.

Oliver (MadeinUK) I'm sure you're referring to. Not so sure what was so good about him. He wasn't so much an active poster on this site, he was a NJTROUT.COM kinda guy. I have not beefs with him.

NAY, what HAS become of me?

Maybe it's just a mid Neff crisis I'm having.
Just a few months ago I tried to buy a new flashy red fly reel from Mac.
I also find myself trying out new flies that are half the age of the catskill dries I'm used to using...

Maybe Future Fanatic's identity was a shadow. Future Fanatic's light, cast shadows of the likes of AK, Beetle, Dan, CMM or the greedy guides calling for more water at any cost or the anti gas hyperbolists... Without them here bloviating... my light now casts no shadows...
