West Branch Tips

I am planning on making a weekend trip up to the West Branch in the next couple weeks with my drift boat. I have never fished this section and was wondering if someone has some tips and suggestions for me. I had found a couple boat launches but not sure time wise whats a good distance for a days trip. Wheres a good place to launch and take out?

I see that there really arent any campground up that way. I found one place on the main river but nothing on the West Branch. Is there a campground that im just not finding?

Any tips would be much appreciated.

Tight lines.

Is there enough water to float the West branch ?. I suggest you pick a nice person from this site and take them with you. They'll show the put ins and where to go and you'll learn abouy yhis river as long as there is enough water/

Yea i will certainly be watching the water level. Im not looking for a guide i can navigate the river but just looking for suggestions on boat launches and a possible campground.

If your dead set on fishing the West, Stilesville to Balls Eddy is a good all day float. However, in the next couple of weeks the Mainstem should not be ruled out. If the temps cooperate, that would be my first choice. Big river, big opportunities.
