With all the web media coverage going on, I thought I'd give T&T a call myself. I'm an owner of a few T&T rods and wanted to be sure that if one of them broke, I'd have some recourse.

On the second ring a nice voice answered the phone. I asked her the obvious questions, "What's going on with T&T". She said there's a press release available and she would email it to me. I asked her if I could publish it on the site. So, here you go:

In the past two weeks we have undergone a series of issues relating to our building in Greenfield which have coincided with some severe weather and a planned holiday. The severe weather knocked our phones and internet down and as a result our service level has not been at our usual high level for which we apologise to all our customers worldwide.

This coming week we will be getting our process back up and running and it will take a little time to get back to our full capacity.

In the midst of this disruption to normal service, Iain Parker has decided to return to the UK for personal reasons a little ahead of the original plan. I wish to thank Iain for his valued service to the business and know he will continue to be a longstanding friend to the brand and the rod builders in Greenfield where in his short time he established some lasting friendships.

From March 1, I will take full control of the brand and it’s global activities. Tom, Erika and the crew will report to me directly on all matters. <O</O
We have some exciting new products in process which we will have available in the coming months and I look forward to leading this prestigious brand to the levels of performance it deserves.<O</O

Why was there no press release about AK changing his moniker?

My plan over the past few months has been to visit the flagship store in April and buy a Horizon II while I'm there. This is an insane amount of money for me to spend on a rod but I used one that belongs to a client this summer and I can't get it off my mind, In Fact: It Haunts Me.

I have a friend who has plotted all the major rod mfgrs tappers on spreadsheets and the second I brought up T&T in conversation his first remark was "there is something very different about the mathematics in the the T&T rod tapers compared to all others" I knew that the minute my hand went to the 10-2 positions.Granted, I only have brought one to hand but that was enough to realize they are different. I'm a guide but I don't have a deal with T&T or anyone else for that matter. I know guides who swear by Scott but they have been "bought". Just my 2cents

I wish T&T all the best, For what it's worth, When I e-mailed them about warranty policy a month ago they were back in my in box within 14 hours.
