Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

The Lower East Branch is in desperate need of more water.

The West Branch is receiving all of the directed releases for Montague.

Pepacton is at 83.3 %.

Cannonsville is at 67%.

Seems like there is not a better time to help the East Branch by transferring a portion of the directed release to Pepacton and the East Branch.

Of course, increasing the minimum release on the East Branch side in the FFMP tables should also be considered. Under the old Rev 7, Pepacton summer releases were sometimes 190 cfs just to keep the Harvard target at 175 cfs. Advocating for a minimum summer Pepacton release of 190 -200 cfs should be a priority.

Needless to say, we're borderline drought, so Mother Nature could help us with some monster deluges and most of us wouldn't complain. NJ trout streams and rivers are almost all at historic lows for the recent dates....and no rain in the forecast either.:crap:

Jim.. avoid the math. Go with the new release plan. Bore a hole at the foot of Pepacton dam.
