some VT Brookie pics

[Trouser Trout]

I fished Saturday and Sunday in some small VT streams, caught a lot of fish, all wild brookies between 4" and 9". Here are a few pics, more to follow if i can ever figure out how to load them on this site, even as your esteemed Editor - In - Chief, I too at times have technical difficulties. It was a great weekend had many (perhaps too many) quality local beers, cigars, fun with the wife and kids, and caught lots of fish. For anyone who is a gear hawk, the rod is a 3wt., 6'6" Orvis Trout Bum, outstanding for fishing small water for small fish. Caught a few on dries most on small bh nymphs. I also caught them all in water I had never fished before, over the weekend I brought over 30 to hand. It was a great weekend.

None of them are keepers. No such thing as a keeper when fishing for wild trout. They are all pefect examples of a beautiful species of wild fish.

Very nice TT! Those fish have some kick ass colors on them. They are much darker than the ones I find in the tristate area. It's amazing how the colors can vary from different streams.
Excellent job!

Terrible fishing in southern Vermont. I go back a few times every year just to confirm that it still sucks. The very definition of insanity.

I think Beetle is being a little rediculous with his comments. Has anyone checked out his live journal. Sorry those fish arent anything to brag about. I think you might have been confused and meant to put them in the journal you keep under your bed so when you play with your dong you feel better about yourself
