Pocono' Late Report 6/9/2009

Had guest Jheaney and Biot up for a day in the Pocono's. The day looked as though it was going to shape up nicely we arrived stream side to discover a number of rising fish. So we geared up and headed down to the waters edge with stormy sky's building to the west. The rain held out but the fishing did not the front put the fish down. So nymphing was the game of the day Jheany the fishing machine managed to catch a few very nice trout under some very tough conditions and had as many LDR'S! Was a good morning on the water with Biot and Jheaney lots of laughs and some great information and conversation. Pleasure to meet and fish with you Jheany hope to get out there with you again when the fish are looking up!! Could not meet a nicer couple of guy's!!


Biot again returned in the evening for some redemption fishing and we hit the spinner fall perfectly! Was like a blizzered out there and hungry trout every where he got into a good number of trout and some nice ones I might add!! If I can get the pics from him I will post them here as they are on his camera.Was a fantastic evening!! Great way to close out the day!!

Just a note all area streams are fishing extreemly well right now. If you are here and don't know where to fish just pick a spot! I'm sure you will be happy!!

Very sharp Hllywd didn't think you would catch that LOL!! They were on the spinners and light cahills size 14 -16. Sharp eye!! If you want to come up just let me know!!

Nice report.

I'm surprised you were able to find good water for the spinnerfall... it looks like the clouds really opened up there yesterday... USGS gauges for the Brodhead, Bush Kill, and Pocono Creeks were sky-rocketing straight up yesterday afternoon... I would have thought the whole area was a blow out.

I'm surprised you were able to find good water for the spinnerfall... it looks like the clouds really opened up there yesterday... USGS gauges for the Brodhead, Bush Kill, and Pocono Creeks were sky-rocketing straight up yesterday afternoon... I would have thought the whole area was a blow out.

The water was as good as it gets as for the levels last night and the water was pretty clear. So the water should be good the rest of the week and into next week. Brodheads came up about 8"-10" wich I think is optimum level.

Duct tape dog doesn't fish weekends.....but I do!!!!!! Thanks for the invite....I'll remember that the next time you need a ride to go striper fishing!!!!! LOL!!!

Those water's aren't too far, about the same distance driving as going to the KLG or other streams in NJ near me.
But I'm up there fishing anyway so we hooked up and fished due to BHC vehicle situation.
I think he was picking up a truck today that's maybe why you couldn't get in touch with him.
