Orange Flamethrower

This is my first crack at an Orange Flamethrower.

Hook- Gaelic Supreme low water salmon double size 8
Thread- 8/0 hot orange
Tag- Oval gold tinsel
Body- rear half is hot orange floss, front is oval gold tinsel
Center hackle- hot orange hen neck
Front hackle- hot orange hen neck
Tail- Icelandic pony hair with a couple strands of crystal flash- you can use bucktail if you're out of Icelandic pony.
Cheeks- Jungle Cock

Thanks! I'm working on my second tye, the hackle should be more sparse with a crystal flash head. I omitted the head on this one because it was a real bitch to tye.

About the JC, expensive, I must be out of my mind. :bang:

It looks like a show grade neck the eyes are perfect. There in lays the cost factor sure makes a great looking fly though ! My friend Jens ties these almost exclusively the doubles are cool looking. You are not far off on this attempt looking good !
