NJ Fish & Game fake the cover of their new Fishing Digest!

They should put :bouncing-boobs: on the cover next year.....I bet no one would complain, except MACFLY....
 
A cheesey marketing mistake but it will have no impact on the number of licenses sold. Read the digest and then determine for yourself if the addition of 7 miles of C&R (excellent trout) water, the YRTCA program, and WTS designations are worth it for you, if not so be it. However, I know of no one that ever made a decision to buy a license based on a cover picture of the fish code.

That first sentence you quoted me isn't directed at you. It's at F & G, maybe it didn't come out that way, I'm sorry. The second sentence was for you :)

It's not a big issue since it is overshadowed by so many other things that take precedence and should. As I said in my original post I also find in funny, hilarious is the word I used. NJ F&G was wrong in using a picture of fish caught in MN on the cover of their Fishing Digest with the implication being that it's a NJ caught fish. That is the entire point, no more, no less.

Enough of this stuff now and go back to restoring some more habitat. I have a pile of bonefish flies to tie... See you this weekend.
 
Maybe F&W should post in venues like this for submission of pictures of fish caught in NJ. They could select the picture of their choice and if used, it would just be the picture with no mention of what particular water it came from to protect from "spot burning" worries.

It would seem to me that beyond using the picture to try and sway someone from buying a license, that the picture would be a direct reflection of the quality of fishing available in NJ as a direct result of the work accomplished by F&W and the other organizations that work to improve these fisheries. Makes no sense to show what another state has accomplished.

Just to further confuse the issue, while the photographers' business is located in MN, they talk about traveling the globe in search of their art. So that pike might be international, from MN, from NJ or just about anywhere else. My guess is Vladamir Putin actually caught it while fishing shirtless...

The shot was in MN. This stuff is checked out first ;) So, no worries about confusing anything :)
 
Hey Brian, How much schnow did those jersey fish get covered with? Squat here... I mean a Sashsquat, but keep it quiet.
