Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Hi folks,

I'm another new guy to the site! I live and fish mainly in sussex county, and have been fishing with the fly for four years now. I catch fish but I would like to become a more proficient fly fisherman, as well as move into fly tying this winter. I have the misfortune of being partially laid off right now so I made my first trip to the KLG on Thursday. I caught one fish on my second cast.... a beautiful 6 inch native brown... used an 18 prince with a 22 brassie dropper...and then nothing for the rest of the day. So this brings me to my statement about becoming a more proficient fly fisherman; I know there were fish in every hole that I hit....I saw em, but couldn't catch em! So I am looking forward to gaining insight from all of you, and possibly getting to fish with you as well!

Welcome! This forum should be a tremendous resource for you in your quest to be a better fisherman. If you really want to get there quicker, go up to the upper Delaware for a day and hire one of the many fine guides up that way. Nothing will increase your skill faster than learning from a pro.
