well, currently i own a 8'6 4wt orvis tls power matrix, which was replaced once for a door slam tip break for $25. i also own a 7'9 5wt orvis far & fine, which was passed down from my father. there is another 8'6 4wt orvis rod, which is on the slow side, but is a good nymph rod. i originally bought a cheaper orvis 9' 6wt for bigger waters, but the rod is too slow for my liking. it can handle heavier flies, but the action inhibits my casting style. that is were the interest in finding a fast action 9' rod came into play. originally i was looking for a 6wt rod.-----in test casting a loop and the T&T on tuesday i got stuck. in my opinion, the loop 5wt was much like my orvis 4wt, so i didnt see a need to go that route. the T&T 5wt was stronger than my orvis 6wt and much faster. maybe even along the lines of an extra fast rod. i test casted a 5wt line and saw i was even able to up the line weight easily. now i didnt cast any other rods that day, but plan on testing a few more before jumping into that range. anyways, i guess after being bombarded with warranty information and such i thought i would just explain the situation a little more.
