Fishing must be slow today, I'd expect you to be on the SR.
Friday afternoon I head up till Monday....Still early for any push.. but I have the fever to get up there anyway.

Went back past this afternoon to look. :crap: They were no where to be found. Oh well. to ease my pain I fished for a little while. The fish in the pool seem to be getting sick. I had one swim directly to me. When he was close enough I reached down and netted him. He was sickly looks like he had been caught about a thousand times, his mouth was so bad had some other stuff going on too.
Later I hooked a fish and my knot came out. Now I lost a nymph to this pool. Within 5 minutes the other guy fishing the lower section of the seem caught a fish, Jokingly I asked if he had my fly in his mouth. He did and it was my fly, seems when your hungry you will eat even when your hooked.
We need some rain soon.

I've found alot of gear on the Flatbrook over the years, but wasn't there this weekend. Shoot!
Well, look at it this way...You've made another fly fisherman very happy. It's like winning the lottery.
Last week, I caught a brownie, put it back, and within minutes it was rising again. So, I casted the same fly at it again and he took it. Go figure. :dizzy:
Were you fishing? I'll ask guys I see on the river if they found them.

I was fishing below the bridge in the pool with the slide down the hill to get to it.
Don't forget the shop make smoney to because I have to go buy new rolls...

Ummmm...you must be refering to Werner's Pool. Yea, you ain't gettin it back. That's also known as Scumbag Pool. I never fish it.
PM me and I'll give you many better places to fish.
See, it's all in your perspective. Loosing stuff is beneficial to others. You should be able to write off the donation on your taxes. Be sure to over estimate the number of spools you lost and their value. So even you can benefit from the loss.

I figure I'll tag along with Burt since he got some of your spots...
Tried one day I was there to scout a little down stream but I was to tired to do much. A 2 car scenerio would work well start in one location work down to the car and drive back or fish back.

If you like hiking...I can put you on some spots that are rarely if ever fished and hold some fairly large trout. No large numbers, a trout ot two in each pool, but quiet unfished waters. I have to tell you though, they are very spooky fish. A line slap on the water will shut them down.

He becomes Gene Kelly and does his Singing in the Rain routine at the pool... while you are trying to fish I might add.
