Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Local TCA

I fished my local TCA this afternoon. Water was cold and high. Fishing was not easy. Saw a bunch of old worm containers...tsk tsk.

Fished streamers and nymphs nothing. I tied on a small nymph and added a split shot. Started fishing deep. Finally I hooked into something, and it felt big. It fought hard and stayed deep. I saw a nice flash of white/yellow and thought it a nice brown trout. Turned out to be this!photo 1-3.jpgphoto 2-4.jpgphoto 1-4.jpg

Also FYI the State is looking for Beetle!photo 4-2.jpg

Thank goodness mu local TCA only provided healthy rainbows today.

BTW, there is an area in the TCA where dozens of suckers sgould have been spawning by now. Haven't seen them this year.

That spot you told me about the other day? I almost stopped in there today, but got too busy and kept on going.

What you there is not a trout, but a bonefish. Something people travel thousands of miles and pay thousands of dollars for.
