KLG update

sonny

Fishizzle, I use worms but I'm looking to upgrade!
Good morning guys, I'm brand new to the site so bare with me. I'll spare you my autobiography for now[warning, you will hear it eventually]. My question for now is-I would to hit the KLG early Saturday and will it be fishable after Friday mornings rain. Obviously this question is asked for anyone who happens to be near the stream for close observation.

You could go with your heart or go with the USGS site... Id perfer the latter. I think fishing should be good this weekend but would check the gauges first.

Good luck

time is of the essence

Thanks for the advice. My heart is leaning toward going but my guts say high running water, not ideal being that I'd be driving over an hour to get there[I live in Monmouth County]. nymphs or streamers?

Actually if you look at the link I put up the river is not running that high at all. Right now it looks to be running at around 175 and the mean is 142. You should be fine but I'm in NY right now so not sure if it is raining in Jersey. You'll be fine with either Streamers or Nymphs. Both are very productive in this river.

If you need some more information about the KLG check out this web page www.shanonnonsflytackle.com . It will give you the stream conditions and some helpful information on hatches that are being observed. There shop is on main street in town and the guys are very helpful with information on the KLG.
