Good morning nymphing. Water was a cool 64 deg. and the fish were cooperative. Here a few up to 22"
Im going to have to give that stream a try. I just cant get past the surroundings.
Combat city fishing at its finest. Sewer plants abound and nasty culm dump slides to navigate. You really don't want to go there.
That said, when I'm in the zone fishing, I don't see anything beyond the end of my fly line. So I could be fishing in the shadow of Fukushima and as long as I'm getting a rod bent to the handle, I don't give a tinkers damn what the scenery looks like.

#10 jig hook
copper tung bead
cdl tail
stripped peacock quill ab
ribbed with copper wire and purple pearl quill body
peacock bronze dub thor
#5 Glo-brite hot spot behind bead
This is my top secret, catch them anywhere nymph. Don't tell anybody.
Can you post a pic of it ? I will not show anybody. Better yet how about you come with me and you hook up and I will reel them in.
Here is a link for a video done by Aaron Jasper on the Triple Threat. Note that he calls the quill a stripped turkey quill. He misspoke and it is a stripped peacock quill. He uses a brown UV pearl body quill for the rib, I use a violet pearl quill rib. You can use a regular hook as he does or a jig hook that I listed.
Easy tie but very effective. Get the Datum Glo-Brite #5 for the hot spot, it's the best.

You'll have to get the Beetle to hook the fish for you, he is the resident pro.
He stripped the Turkey quill with a pencil sharpener........
i just can't bring myself to tie that stuff. I got a friend that cleans up on the guides choice HE but I just won't do it..... then again when he's not lookin I tie on that crane fly deal and go to town .
Nah, not offensive, I just worded it wrong.
It's hard enough to keep your "go to's" stocked up in season, playin w/ new patterns just ain't happenin
