Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Headed up the Pocono Mountains this holiday weekend. Can anyone recomend a good fly stream. I will be staying in the Albrightsville area. I am a beginner and not the greatest fly caster yet so need open space if possible. Would like to stay within an 1/2 hour. Thanks

Tobyhana 940 & 423 is that Lake Naomi. You follow Rte 423 till a little bridge that crosses the creek then park off the bridge? Mud Run do I take rte 534 towards 209 or towards Hickory Run State Park. Where do you pick up the creek?

For mud run from albrightsville, follow 534 towards 940 away from 209, park at the parking lots just before the Turnpike overpass and follow the hawk falls trail down, you'll run ruight into Mud Run and should not pass up a cast or two into Hawk Run which runs right along the trail.

Tobyhana is rt 940 to rt423 follow past one lane bridge for about 1 mile and on your rt will be two parking areas and on the left you will see a gate they open to drive down to stock.

Mud Run is at the east end of Hickory Run State Park. I found Hickory Run to be unfishable (not good at small wts, heavy cover tactics) but Mud Run to be a pleasure. Not a lot of other anglers there b/c it requires some walking, but plenty of fish. Downstream from the PA Turnpike overpass has generally been better for me.

Got out to Hawk Trail Saturday and fished in the morning. I caught a killer Brown Trout. Here he is. i need work with casting but hey, beats working. I'm going to LLBean this weekend or nextfor casting lessons $15 walk on lessons. See what happens.
