Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

If it is true and it does snow then it's time for me to do the usual. Go into my tying room. open the blinds that faces the woods, put some music that I like on, Open a cold Sammy's and tye. The last part is the dog always lays next beside me when I get into this mood. What Are you guys planning on.

I've already had a 6" shot of snow and a 2" snowfall. I plan on a shovel, and a heating pad(or is ice?). :) grumble, grumble.

Hmmm... I'm going to make sure my Skis are sharp and I have all my gear together pulled together. It may be hersay but as the song says.... let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Andy

I will be chasing the snow fly hatch.I love swinging streamers during a good snow.

I'm planning on some snowshoeing ,some fishing, with neoprene of course....maybe some skiing ,we'll see how the back is and of course some winter bowhunting....Oh and other than that lots of nothing ......

Andy, RW here

I'm gonna do much the same. I like to tie in front of my big picture window that looks out onto my deck and the back yard. Like your dog, my big maine coon cat curls up on the sill right by my tying station and watches me tie..Sometimes deer go through the back yard and occasionally a moose. Big pot of coffee, a light snow to brighten up the big white pines...It's like tying while looking out on a winter wonderland.

Later, RW

Well Andy, we got 4".......fortunately i bought a brand new shovell the day before. The forecast calls for possible snow every day for next week. With any luck the EPA/Earthtech crew doing the work next door will be outta here SOON! I'm a bit tired of 15 huge dump trucks commin' through here twice a day. Had to go out there today and cool the cat with the backhoe. Sucker was shackin' the entire foundation of my house. He cooled it. later, mark

Andy,

Same as you hope to tie up dozens of flies this winter, read alot of books and dream about next season.

Gary

Not sure about you guys, but the winter runs a little smoother for this fly angler by opening a bottle of red, having such a wonderful romantic interlude with the newly acauired wife, and then entering the tying room to tie up some flies. I find tying so much more fruitful when events occur in that order. In short, without sex, I can't tie worth crap!

flyin, 3 dogs too, down from 5. Bout 8 cats altogether, usually no more than 5 or 6 around at any given time, lol. Got rid of the goats (3), AND the rabbitts (a dozen), And the 250 birds of all kinds (hens, roosters, ducks, turkeys, pheasents, and quineas), at all different ages, are currently at 9, lol. As you can tell, the Zoo is shrinking..............."Finally" he he he. Spose to be a foot of snow this weekend, Fri. into and all day Sat. DAMN, mark.......OH! by the way..........ok (also a GREAT tune and title, Oh By The Way, by Terrance Blanchard) i also got a brand new snow blower, AND a shovel. lol
