Getting the salmon and steelhead fly box's filled whats everyone else tying ?:)

Im tying black stone flies. I have had good success with them on Salmon.

HEY that is the fly box with the very same flies, I lost on the Salmon last year. If you send it to me in that very same condition I will not call the police and have you thrown in the same cell as the Mahoney's:D
 
Only half that fly box will ever see any fish lips. the other half will never see water. well they may see it but they won't get wet....:burp:

Ah getting close the egg box is full and the speys and hair wings are almost done ! I'm with you WBD need to get to the stonefly's tonight ! Have to get Pat Miura's fly's done first so he can have them this week.:)

nice ties allen looks like youve been busy i dont know if im gonna make it up to the SR this year but ill have to play it by ear im off the first or second week of november... one other question when is the fly tying gathering in jersey?

allen are you going to be up there first two weeks of november? im gonna play it by ear but i really would like to see what steel is all about

I still like the way your bronze mallard wings come out. Nice ties.
 
If I were headed up there I'd bring (in addition to the eggy stuff shown above) some bunny leeches in black, purple, and pink (it's possible to tie 30 an hour, good pattern for trout too). I'd also throw in some big stonefly nymphs and conehead muddlers.
