Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Favorite Gear

This is too broad, if I may say so...

Well I need my fly rod to fish and my waders to wade, and my flies to catch fish, and my tippet/leaders to attach my fly to my fly line....So, basically, on a normal day, everything on me or in my possession is my favorite gear...

:)

I've always felt that a rod is a thing of perference and that if your a good caster you can make out fine with a medium priced rod(kind of like golf clubs, if your no good at golf it doesnt matter what clubs your using) ,but I love my simms G3 waders. I'll never be able to go back to cheap waders after having those for 2 hard 60+ day years and no leaks and they fit great. Love their rain gear as well

I agree...I love the SIMMS G3 and their G4 Guide rain jacket....its sickkk!

What is your all time favorite fly fishing gear?

I would have to say without a doubt a pontoon boat so I would be able to drift the Delaware River looking for trout.

That way the bikini hatch would start and end right there.

My All time favorite would be my Ross San Miguel Number Two Reel. Just an awesome piece of machinery.

For me it's a toss up between my Patagonia Watermaster Light Waders and my Ross Essence FW.

Bought the waders 3 years ago for cheap on Ebay because the Watermaster Lights were being phased out. After about a year of heavy use I ripped my first pair on a stump when I slid down the bank of the West Branch of the Croton River. Patagonia replaced them for the cost of shipping the new pair. The replacements are still my go to waders. They've withstood falls, thorns and general wear and tear without even needing a patch.

The Ross FW is definitely one of the best bang for the buck rods out there. As a novice caster I could easily cast the entire line in the basketball court by my old house. As I get better at casting I am impressed with how the rod has grown with me. Can't say enough good things about it. Only downside is that it's not made in the U.S and A.

It's a tie between beer in a can and my Orvis pack with man-boob pockets. The vest pack is on it's 6th season, shows no sign of aging, smells really bad, and still holds everything I need.

My Maui Jim sunglasses. They have what feels like bionic polarization.

Naaaa- naaaa- naaa -naaa- naaaaaaaaa....

Able to leap the Delaware in a single bound.

Clean out the Cemetery Pool on a Saturday.

Catch the largest Brown Trout with a bare hand....

A proud member of the 10 % chubs.

Stick out your hand......

Because that is all you are good for.

Oh, McRiffle.... I took you for someone else.

Sorry.

Never mind.

I have a couple
favorite rod 8'6" 4wt. LRH lightweight rod. it is one of the best crafted rods I have ever owned and it is also the easiest to cast. the other is the Hardy Angel reel I have on my 10' nymph rod, 4/5wt. it is just a classy reel with an awsome drag.
