Dubbing blends

A few years back I had the best hendrickson dubbing. It was a grayish, tan, with some pink and mahogany mixed in for good measure. I can't find the stuff anywhere. I am willing to ruin the coffee grinder. Anyone have a table or recipes for blending colors for specific hatches?

I use a lot of C/N dubbing, it works. I also blend a lot of different colors I never use a formula. I have more pelts then I could ever use. I start adding fur to the grinder. I get it close to what I want. I will take a tuff and wet it. Then I will adjust the mix to get the desired wet color.

Like TN and Tomfly, I like Caucci/Nastasi dubbing. As I read your description Iso, I'm thinking it sounds a lot like C/N Mahogany Brown dubbing. I use that on almost every hendrickson I tye, for Isonychia's, and as a good all around body for a lot of flies.

The stuff I was using was a C/N blend, but it wasn't the mahagony. It was lighter. Been using a lit of hares mask recently and was hoping I could mix something close.

The old C/N dubbing packets had the formula for the blend printed on the packets. I will see if I have it tonight and PM the formula to you.

Add some claret seal to the blend

I think the C/N recipes are in their Hatches book. If I remember they are based on the colors red and blue. Their blends are great, the hendo looks tan when dry but wet it has the pink hues
