Cabin rentals in the West Branch of the Dele. any recommendations?

Fredy

SAY MY NAME!!!
Planning on going up to the WB for Memorial weekend with my wife and son. Any one know of a decent place to rent a cabin? I checked with the WB Angoer and they were at $260 a night :-(

Any help would be great.

Fredy

I'll second Dream Catcher. The cabins are very nice. Less expensive than WBA, and there is good water right there.

Fredy dreamcatcher is a nice place a lot cheaper than the west branch angler. he only has six cabins and thats a busy weekend. the water is
very nice for fishing dries.

If your going with the wife and she does not fish, I would go to Roscoe. It has a few more things to do, Catskill museum, some shops she may like and the park at lew beach has a nice covered bridge. Any you have many fly shops and the Beaverkill and willowemac. Remember, if she's not happy, nobody is happy

That is a tough weekend to get rooms in the Catskills...I usually reserve rooms for my clients at least 6-8 months ahead...

You may try Buckhorn cabins on the East Branch...They are not quite the same quality as WB Angler...

Sweet! I just booked with Dream Catcher in one of their executive cabins for 3 nights.

Rusty,
Joi wont be fishing, she'll be sleeping. She needs to catch up on some much needed rest. Hopefully I will get into fish easily so I can have my son reel some in too.

If any one is going to be up there let me know, maybe we can meet up and wet a line.

Thanks for the heads up on on Dream Catcher :thumb:

Yes, I stayed at the Hancock House and stayed for two days of fishing. Convinced wife about a weekend getaway, she agreed as long as we were staying in a cabin and not hotels or lodges ;-)

for a few times a yr you just cant beat the west br angler..cabins rite on the water and they are gorgeous inside..restaurant on the property ,fly shop and did i mention that section of river behind it is loaded with slobs.that are flyfisherman friendly to catch..it really is one of the best sections of water on the the whole w branch in my opinion..with a hatch goin on i dare to say but the fish are not difficult to catch if you get up there by june..

I checked wit the WBA and they wanted over $250/night for Memorial day weekend. The Dream Catcher cabins are also on the water. They own over 1.5 miles of water too. I will have to try the WBA when their rates are a bit lower.

i hear dream catcher is really nice Freddy.. and alot cheaper..but im a high roller Freddy...i go to the wb angler. i put my real fat bigshot wrist watch on, that doesnt even work, and make sure to hide my toyota tercel with 200,000 mi and no muffler no where near my cabin. i will be the guy memorial day wkend swinging flies at the head of the pool with my loomis 13 ft. stinger..kickin ass and takin names.

LOL!
I will bring an extra watch for you and my tow rope just incase you want to drive your car (or atleast make pretend your driving)

I am pretty sure the WB includes a real good dinner & breakfast for the $. So when you compare apples to apples thier close in $ to dream catcher. They have 2miles river also. Knicks that. Dinner is not included I just checked.

The Hancock House includes breakfast with hotel stay (full breakfast!) The beer in the bar is super cold too :hubbahubba:

Just stay away from their dinner menu, I served better to inmates.

Hey Fredy

I'll be up fishing that weekend, sleeping in my truck and living on beer and suzy q's.
do you mind if I stop by the cabin once and a while to take a dump and use the phone?
