Annual Musky Clean Up Saturday, April 12th

NEFF is always a great site to get volunteers out to the river for this event and others:

Please come out for the annual Musconetcong River clean up on Saturday, April 12th from 9 am - noon. Garbage bags and gloves will be provided along with bottled water for our volunteers. Choose from one of three meeting locations: 1) Sand Bar Park/Alumni Field off Willow Grove Street (just north from route 46/Main Street) on the upper river, 2) Hampton Borough Park just below rt. 31 in Hampton Borough off Park Drive, or 3) at the old Hughesville paper mill on Cypher's Road near its intersection with route 627 (Riegelsville Warren Glen Road). Please contact Brian Cowden, Musconetcong Home Rivers Initiative Coordinator if you can help on that day at: BCowden@tu.org

For the record, I will be leading the northern site location as usual. We meet at the Hackettstown site. I could use a few pickup trucks and/or smaller trailers to remove some couches and other large debris dumped at Penwell above the Point Mountain TCA this year. But volunteers can drive to any of the 3 main meeting locations and get engaged there.

Bring your fishing gear and plan to fish after the work is done! Our Hendrickson mayflies should be hatching by then in the afternoon.

Yeah ok! I think you posted this to the wrong site! Let me fix that for you.

The guys on this site are too good for cleaning but I'm sure they can loan their maids and personal assistants.

Which is funny...
Goin' back a few, but...
Who DIDN'T show up when the call came out to improve the WB a bit...?

Again with Saturday......hows about one on a Sunday????????:)

This time you can't blame me. I don't set this date. The other Saturday work dates I set just to anger you, but this one is the fault of our partners in the local watershed organization. :)

It is looking like there is a good chance I will have to work Saturday. I will let you know tomorrow. :holy:

This weekends plans are literrally blown out ( salmon river) so helping out with the clean up tomorrow sounds like a good plan B.

See you in an hour. A group from my Ridge & Valley TU chapter were headed to the SR for steel until the lodge called and told them to stay home. They'll be out helping this morning as well. Thanks to all in case I don't see you in person today!

It is killing me to be in NYC today. I might try and hit a local stream tonight around 7 if I am home otherwise I am fishing all day tomorrow.

Great meeting you today Rusty. That TU water was good to us today, point mountain also fished well tonight.:thumb:

Likewise! Did anything come off the water this afternoon? I had to leave around 2:30 and we saw exactly one Hendrickson at that point. Other than all of the caddis, that is.
