A Wild Trout Stream 12/23

[BRK TRT]

While today not being a perfect day to fly fish a class 1 wild trout stream, I had the time so I went.

The air temps were around 15 and the water temp was 36, but the woods and the water were sparkling.

I fished nymphs and buggers and they produced several bumps and a few hookups but only one came close enough for a photo.


Please enjoy this winter outing on a small stream in Connecticut.

Just about 2 weeks ago I took a brookie here on a dry fly.

And the wild brown that came to pose.

Spaghetti, with clam sauce, and garlic bread.

What's the big deal? Hardly anybody walking aong Rt.s 57 or 46 last few days...solitude....
