Had a peaceful day fishing a PA stream for wild browns. The water temperature at 0900 was 62° and 65° at 1400. This was the lower river and I'm sure the temperatures were cooler upriver. I did not see another angler at any of the places I fished and the only "drift" boats were four kayakers around noon. There were no bugs coming off, except for a sporadic caddis and the usual midges. All fish were nymphed with a silver bead, orange hotspot quill nymph in size 16. The fish ranged in size from 16" - 21" and I also had a smattering of small fish in the 10" - 12" range.
And I took this stream shot because I know how Beetle like the scenery pictures. As you can see, this is a very nice looking stream.
