Hendricksons And Gordons

The only thing left should be foot prints.
I got out today. What I saw happen on the KLG this afternoon was amazing. I can not remember the last time I witnessed a hatch of this size on the gorge. I looked up stream and down stream and saw fishing rising every where. The Hendricksons and Qilll Gordons where coming heavy. The best hatch I have seen on the gorge in a long time. It was not the typical sporadic hatches that I have become accustom to. They were coming off every where between noon and 3. I was using parachute Caribou hair Hendrickson and a Catskill Quill Gordon . Both produce numerous takes.

Fishing the P'skill yesterday afternoon and hendricksons were coming off around 3PM. The hatch was sporadic but the fish were on them. I left my drys in the car but did well fishing under the hatch with wet flies.

Sounds like most every NJ trout stream/river was on fire yesterday. Good to see, even if I'm working and can't fish until Friday.
