We had some luck upstate last week. Got two nice sized jakes. The Toms I saw were all henned-up by dawn. Hunting here in the Pine Barrens has been frustrating and I havent seen a bird the last 3 Saturdays. I see turkey all year, then they're all gone when the season opens. On closing day Im sure theyll be outside my door laughing and flippin the bird- no pun intended.
